Notebook Does Not Startup or Boot Displaying a Blank Screen

When pressing the notebook power button nothing is displayed on the screen or display. The cause of this problem may be a failed AC adapter, the memory modules (RAM)need to be reseated or a failed notebook system board component which will require an HP certified repair.
However, you can try the following troubleshooting steps in this regard:
-Perform Power Drain procedure
-Test the AC adapter
-Check the power indicator light or power socket LED
-Remove and reseat the RAM

If the issue persists then it might be due to any internal hardware issue and need further diagnosis. Please contact the vendor support.

Power Drain for notebook power on failure

If the notebook is not powering ON please perform the steps provided below to detain the accumulated power in System board of the notebook. The procedure is called as Power Drain.

To perform a Power Drain Procedure:

1. Disconnect the AC Adapter.
2. Remove the Battery pack.
3. Hold the Power button down for 3 minutes.
4. Install the Battery pack
5. Reconnect the AC adapter.
6. Turn on the Notebook power.

Now check with the notebook.
